I watch a video from the brothers Ron and Rick Davies who are considered to be super affiliates as they have been around since well I don't think dinosaurs were roaming around but close :) but any ways the video had some tips in regards to running an affiliate business. Below are there suggestions in regards to how you may want to set up your day. one thing that every one does first thing is check there email wait in the relative world your emails are likely full of the next greatest thing and take you focus away from what you are suppose to be doing so don't check your email first save that for later in the day or evening even. Your main thing to do is to try to make money so one thing you can do to put your self in the top 2% of internet marketers is to get your coffee or tea or water milk what ever and spend the fist 15 –30 learning something read a eBook read a report but take that time to learn something new and do that everyday. next depending on how and what type of site you have you want to add some fresh content I use blogs so I may make a few blog post if you have a list you may want to send them an email. follow up with what you have going on already driving traffic to something you have set up is more important than finding the shinny new thing to drive traffic to (this of course is were every you may be trying to drive traffic too) your blog or website or affiliate links. so this is my schedule just as an example
1 get up get my coffee say hello to my wife come down boot up the computer and open up an eBook that's related to what i want to do just as drive traffic take anywhere from 15- 30 min depending on how big the book is drink my coffee and relaxed.
2 I post to my blogs this may take some time depending on what i am posting
3 because I do article marketing I may write an article or review in regards to one of the affiliate products I am marketing
4 I may due a quick video for you tube and other media sites
by now I take a break for a few hours due chores around the house cut the grass go for coffee what ever just to take a break.
5 prepare my off line ads I usually run two or three ads in different local papers get them placed for a week or two depends on what and how much you have to spend.
finally it may be around mid afternoon I will glance through my email my point is I am not interested in finding the new greatest thing I have the products and links I promote and that's what I focus on once they are bring in the traffic and money i want from them then I may look for some thing else, I also spend part of my time looking through competitors site to see what they are offering may check there site on on alexia or quantcast and see what type of traffic they are getting.
now I myself don't like to do more things then I have to so for example I use one tool to post my articles and videos and social bookmarking inside the program you can sign up for the article sites video sites and social book marking sites you only have to sign up for these once (I recommend open up note pad and put your login detail and passwords in the note pad another thing i do to make it easier is to use the same login and password for all the sites that way I don't have too much to remember you can check out the tool I use here
the other thing i do is I want the biggest bang for my work so I use the article also and turn it into a video check out the tool I use here
now use what ever you want but I try to use the article three times I use it for article sites I use it to post to my blog and I use it to make a video my day is done
